Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
